About Mark

Mark Robotham pronounced "robber-thumb" is a self taught musician from the UK, comprising of singing, song writing, mixing, mastering and producing. Inspired from a young age by Mr. Vince Clarke and Andy Bell of Erasure.

Mark has been lucky enough to meet them both, many times over the years and was also Andy Bell`s stand in for setting up the crane shots on erasures "Fingers and Thumbs" video.

Mark started sequencing music on the Amiga, using software called "Music-X", mainly erasure songs which came in handy when he was to later form an erasure tribute band as a singer. Prior to this Mark was in a couple of other duos, mainly as a keyboard player, sequencing cover songs and writing a few orginals.

After a reluctant move and a steep learning curve from the Amiga to a PC based DAW, Mark was using Cakewalks Sonar for a good few years and has recently switched to Presonus Studio One Pro.

Back in 2021 Mark was contacted by Richard from the Erasure Information Service who put him in touch with Mute Records and was asked if he would like to do an official remix for Erasure. The remix was called "Come On Baby" for the "Ne:EP Remixed" CD. Mark was also mentioned by Andy in the "Staying in with Erasure 2021 Festive Edition" live stream.
